Blog Post #2

I really like the idea of “The Cure.”  I think that it was a risky and hard topic to write about.  The topic itself was very intriguing.  It was an eye opener because people start thinking about situations that had never occurred to them before.  What ran through my mind was “what would I do with all my time if I lived forever?”  I thought of all the things I wanted to accomplish during life and all the adventures I could partake in because I would have plenty of time for everything.   Of course, being the romantic girl I am, I also thought about the way you would live forever with the one you loved.

It took me by shock when marriage was looked at in a new light, but at the same time, it kind of made sense to me.  Personally, if I lived forever, I would be so bored with my life, no matter how many new things I tried, the people I met, and the opportunities available to me.  So, it makes sense to me that marriage would never be the same.

“The Cure” is such a thought provoking idea and allows for so many sides and opinions.  I think that it was a really great idea and honestly, I thought of so many more things about that topic than I thought it was.  It’s such a controversial idea and I think that’s what made the book interesting.
