I am from Johns Creek, Georgia, which is about 30 minutes away from Atlanta. My major is Public Relations. I'm not really sure what I want to do with my major, but it sounds really interesting.
I chose USC because I love the campus and it isn't too far from home, but not too close either. Also, there are so many study abroad programs and since I love to travel and have been traveling since I was born, I figured it would be perfect for me. During my time here, I hope to study abroad in England, France, and Italy...and that's just the beginning of my list. I have already been to London and Paris, but I loved them so much that I want to go back. My favorite place is London. Although, I have only been there once, it is my dream to eventually live there. Also, I would like to do a summer semester in Denmark because that is where my family is and I love the culture there.
I have played sports pretty much my whole life. I started out with soccer, dabbled in gymnastics and swim, and then continued with soccer, tennis and volleyball. I ended up dropping soccer after 8th grade because I figured that three sports during my first year in college would be too much. After freshman year, I dropped tennis as well because I wanted to put all my focus into volleyball. It was really hard to drop tennis because my dad played in college, so it was kind of our bonding time.
I really hope that through this U101 class, I make good friends as well as learn more about the college, how to manage my time, and adjust to the changes from high school to college.
